Circadacare

Circadacare’s light technology supports the body’s natural circadian rhythm, or body clock, regulating sleep patterns and is vital for psychological and physical wellbeing. Circadian lighting is proven to reduce falls by 43%, and when combined with data driven interventions, can reduce falls by up to 83%.

Our system is a simple ‘plug and play’ light bulb that fits into standard light fittings. We automatically adjust the colour and intensity of light throughout the day, mimicking natural sunlight patterns. This regulates sleep patterns, reduces sundowning symptoms and reduces falls.

But we are more than just lighting. We have integrated invisible sensors with advanced AI monitoring into the bulb to help carers understand patterns in wellbeing. We can identify changes in activity levels, coughing, or bathroom visits, as well as room temperature and humidity, allowing carers to adjust care plans proactively.

Our smart light bulbs come with a range of screw, bayonet and GU10 fittings making them suitable for the most commonly found light fittings.

“Medway Council needs to achieve significant cost savings in year, and we are actively looking to deploy Technology Enabled Care solutions which enable people to live in their own homes for longer, whist saving money. Using Circadacare is helping us to achieve these cost savings, which is improving the quality-of-care provision in the Medway area.”
